How the levels work here
CBHL team labels add Upper and Lower and Red and Blue brackets inside the A and B letters. This page prices those with the letter rather than as separate levels. CBHL Silver, Gold and Bronze are standalone division names. The Bronze brackets pair two age groups, 12U/10U and 16U/14U. AHF flight names Gretzky, Lemieux and McDavid appear alongside A and B in the same team labels. There is no CBHL AAA division. The AAA row is for Maryland's AAA-level teams, which play in the THF and UT1HL.

Maryland has no standalone state-level USA Hockey affiliate. It is governed jointly with Virginia and the District of Columbia under the Potomac Valley Amateur Hockey Association (PVAHA). PVAHA is one of four affiliates in the USA Hockey Southeastern District. The main travel league is the Chesapeake Bay Hockey League (CBHL). It was founded in 1975 as the Capital Beltway Hockey League. It is the primary Tier II sanctioned youth league for MD, DC and VA under PVAHA. Its 2025-26 division names include AA, A Upper and A Lower, B, Silver, Gold and Bronze. A Upper and A Lower split into Red and Blue at some ages. The Bronze brackets pair ages, at 12U/10U and 16U/14U. Six Maryland clubs also enter the Atlantic Hockey Federation (AHF). Its A and B divisions carry the flight names Gretzky, Lemieux and McDavid. Four clubs pair CBHL play with the EJEPL. CCHL North and South divisions run at 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U. PVAHA's Tier I clubs are Team Maryland, the Washington Little Capitals and the Washington Pride (girls). Team Maryland ices THF teams from 11U to 18U. Tomorrow's Ice adds THF and UT1HL teams at 14U and 18U.
